Flowers in the pink

This original abstract painting has several layers of acrylic paint and the flowers are raised above the background, I have used several levels of acrylic paint to achieve this effect. It is painted on a large wooden panel that is 16 by 20 inches. The 1 inch sides are also painted pink. The original work has been varnished and includes a wire backing, so it is ready to hang with ease.

This is very read to me something I gravitate to I like to paint for myself feelings that come out but I can’t express any other way, so what are you doing the same thing?

Artist Reply: Hi Stephanie! Thank you for your comment and support! As far as painting, I think there are multiple reasons that motivate me. One reason is that it is a way to express feelings that may not be expressed another way. Another reason is that I love art and generally I want to experiment and finds ways to express what I am thinking or feeling in a way that either resonates, touches, inspires or connects with others!
