Loading and unloading in the dock

Until the 1920s, cities located on rivers and canals had enclosed docks that extended into the city center, some even had a lock. Handy, if you know that the transport of goods at that time still had to be done with hand and horse carts. These docks have all been filled in over the years. Image : 260 x 360 mm
