Which Way You Goin Billy?

I'm camping out in motels in distant places these days and can't paint so I sketch. I think of things past and remember my tenure in the killing fields....a voice so pure and true as to suspend you from a gentle heavenly wire above the chaos and fiery hell of war....to transport you to places of different dimensions.....this beautiful kindred spirit is - in my humble opinion - one of the best female vocalists this country has ever produced. To hear her sing during that time was to drink of cool water in a blistering desert, and to quench the thirst of the soul. Which Way You Goin Billy? This song rocked the world and my heart. You have no idea how much your music affected the troops, Susan! You gave us all the strength to face another day....and another. Thank you Susan Jacks. May we be blessed with another of your albums? (Also known as the Poppy Family in those days...) Pencil on Strathmore Vellum Bristol.

After reading your great honoranium to this beautiful lady, I dare not say anything silly and flippiant (although that goes against my nature)...but I, like you issue a big HOOYA of praise to her if she was responsible for lifting the spirits of the troops... And you have done her proud in your soul-felt composition.
