Long story on this one. Last sunday i took part to an ex-tempore event. We had time from 9am to 6pm to finish our work. It was about the old village of Servola which nowadays has become a part of town. I decided to go for a still existing place, but I imagined how it would have looked one century ago. The woman is wearing the local costume and is a "pancogola" (= baker). Servolan bread was famous in entire Austro-Hungarian empire and "pancogole" were invited to court in Wien to bake for Emperor Franz Josef. In the zoomed view you have a look of how the same location looks nowadays :) Pastel on Mi-Teintes canson paper. 22*30 cm. Btw, my piece won a prize... not first prize since it's not the kind of stuff art critics want to see, but anyway... ;)
