This is an impressionistic to realistic portrait of my twin, created with light, oil and a brush.
She lives in South Africa and I miss her a lot.
In this portrait of her my focus was on light and color.
The blue background offsets an orange diffuse glow of her face (complimentary colors).
I tried to capture the subtleness and essence of her soul as an attempt to communicate her emotion and energy, captured in a preservation of a moment in time.

They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, this painting is worth a few more than that. :)
