On the Atlantic side of Panama, this fort protected the town of Porto Bello from pirates. Actually it was hard to penetrate since they put gun placements on both sides of the inlet leading in. Few pirates, if any, ever made it to the town. On this YouTube that I created, my son, Stephen Glassburn, plays the music. He was in his early teens when he played this. Hope that you enjoy.

The many yrs of History reflects through this photograph you did. Over a Thousand of yrs ago the whole central America area that goes from North America to South America leaves it's trail of much history and once thriving with many millions of people. It is still a mystery to scientist to what actually happen to the Aztec and Mayan people. Sharon, do you have any info about this area that you photgraphed? I want to add that this was beautifully done and the sky and the air gives the impression that there is a lot of humidity within that area. Thank you so very Much ~Bob~Tree Pruitt 07 Sep 2009
I've seen this place on television! It didn't look as lovely as you've captured it though.
