This is a painting of another leak in The beautiful state of Colorado. It is a lake that is approximately 10 miles from Glenwood Springs in a nice secluded area. In this scene the sun is setting after a star has moved through and has lit up the sky in ways that can only be seen in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The lake has such a fragile ecosystem that it is against the law to touch the water, shore or the log. Many people have ignored this and have been penalized accordingly. The painting is a commission piece taken from one of my older works. The big difference is the buyer wanted the log in it.
