Strathmore Heavy Weight Bristol Vellum for watercolor

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone has ever used Heavy weight Bristol vellum for Gouache or Watercolor paints and if so how did it work for you? Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated. :-)

It works well, so long as you don't get the paper soaking wet, and don't scrub it.

Some wetter washes will take up some "felting" from the surface. Actually, I have a photo...

Note muddying around "World Carnaval" lettering and torn paper on her nose/face I tried to save. Both these areas got too wet. I eventually cut her out, lived with the face, but re-did all lettering.

I regularly use it for this type of illustration work; I prefer Canson's pro-grade (red and black cover).
