HAPPY 2024 from a primitive Canadian artist who paints and paints for fun. Have Brush will paint.
2024 is my 20th year of sharing my artwork, here on Art Wanted . com, I have hundreds of paintings I have given away to people who forgot to hang them on the wall, while others' cherish them with great honour.
My first exposure to art was with Phineas Clinton, a famous turn of the century artist in Hamilton who in her 90's in 1950 let local children visit her studio on Saturdays and splash a little paint around.
In the late 60's I shared studio space at the Victory Theatre on Spadina Avenue in Toronto with the famous John MacGregor. In the 1980's, with Jay Marlette from Godrich in his Lindsay Ontario, Green Gallery, and in 2018, I had studio space at the QEP until they chased all the artists away with their stupid rules, as to when you can come and use their space, We were paying for
In 1970, I learned brush action at George Brown College as a student sign painter. And operated my own sign painting studio and silk screening shop in Kirkfield Ontario in the 70's and 80's.
In the 90's my studio was back in Toronto & in Scarborough in the early 2000's.
Today, I have a Studio - Gallery setup in my garage, all the comforts of home just inches away, best of all, it is heated in the winter and cool in the summer.
My artwork is in collections in Canada, Holland, France, Indonesia and India
