* I am a professionally Qualified Product Designer. but art is my real passion. I have spent fifteen years using Photoshop as this is my favorite program.

* I have spent the last sixteen years working with Apple Macintosh Computers and PCs NT workstations. Working with a variety of programs including.

* Photoshop 4.0-7.0 ( favorite program ), Illustrator 10, In design -1.0, QuarkXpress 4.1-5.0, CorelDraw 7-10 & 3D programs including ProEngineer, AutoCad R12. Work with Mircosoft Word and Excel as well as PowerPoint, and Apples Keynote, Pages, iDVD, iMovie, iPhoto, iWeb, iTunes, Final Cut Express, Garageband & browsers Safari, Netscape, Firefox, Opera, IE, Mail, Outlook Express, utility programs such as Norton System Works 3, OnyX, Techtool Pro 4.

* I currently own an Apple G4 PowerMac as well as 8200 Powermac. With 3 Hard drivers and 1 GIG of Ram on the G4, Two Epson printers one PhotoEX inkjet ( A3 ), and the C1000 Colour Laser ( A4 ). I also have product knowledge of Scanners, External Hard drives, CD-Writers, DVD writer and Zip and Jaz Drives. I also have broadband with ADSL connection. Operating Systems MacOS classic ( 9.2.2 ) - X.1.5, Mac OS X.3.1.5 ( Panther ), Mac OS X 10.4.6 Tiger & Windows 3.1, 95,98,2000,NT and XP. Recently bought a PC, running Windows XP, to help with the course. The Apple and the PC are all networked together along with all the peripherals.

Career Path

Full-Time Technical Illustrator. 1995 - 2004. ( Nine & Half years ) CorelDraw 7-10 & 3D programs including ProEngineer, AutoCad R12. ( Run Part-time business from 1999 - 2004 ).

Tempts work Graphic Designer. 2004 - 2004. Photoshop 4.0-7.0, Illustrator5.0-10, Indesign1.0, QuarkXpress3.3-4.1-6.0 Proof all work before full production. Make and work to templates. Mainly an A3, it was more cost effective to use A3 for both the A4 & A3 brochures. The work involves drawing floor plans of clients homes, using Illurstrator 10. putting text and photo's into the brochures, in Quark Exprees 4.0. These are then printed onto an HP indigo. Using an A3 sheet, which are run using duplex. This keeps the waste to a minimum and keeps the cost down.

Tempts work Demonstrator. 2004 - 2005. Cold selling of double glazing units, including windows, doors & conservatories. Working in places such as Home base, Makro, Garden Centre's such as Bents, Barton Grange ( Stockport & Bolton), & the Grosvenor Garden Centre.

Full -Time Data Cleanser 2005 - 2005. Work for Vertex ltd. Using Windows NT, and Oracle 1.1 Checking that the members work had been carried out correctly.

Part-Time IT Course 2005-2006. Web Design Manager CIW ( Certified Internet Webmaster ) Skills Train. Learning all aspects of web design and project management. Creating and managering website's. From basic site's to full e-commerce. 12 months to 18 months in duration. Accredited through Leeds University.

Professional Qualifications:

2007-2008 Web Design Via the OU. Starting Feb 07. Learning all aspects of web design and project management.

1997 Basic Design in ProEngineer.

1995 AutoCad R12 City & Guilds St. Helens Technology Campus Merseyside.

1991-1994 Degree in Product Design, at Plymouth University in Exeter. ( Formally Polytechnic South West ).

1989 - 1991 Diploma in Art & Design at the Gamble Institute in St.Helens.

Personal Profile

Art & Technology have always been a great interest, from childhood. I love to combine both, and thanks to Apple Computers I can.

I have shown work at the Young Designers Exhibition, in Islington London 1995.

Work published in MacFormat & Computer Arts.

Exhibitions in local libraries, community centers & galleries. And at craft fairs all around the north west, from Blackpool to Chester, from Bamber Bridge to Hoylake in the Wirral.
