Jeannette Stutzman has been an artist and teacher throughout her adult life with a passion for art throughout her childhood. She paints in oils and pastel primarily but enjoys venturing into other mediums for exploration and to study technique and effects. Her work ranges from plein air landscapes to abstract impressions of various genres of music.
“The landscape, as far as possible from material day-to-day things, often thrills me, while providing balance and peace. I choose to paint the landscape with its variety of textures, light, color and movement, for the challenge, to learn and grow as an artist. My newest works are bold, direct and emotional and I believe they capture the power and excitement that I experience while out in nature.” -Jeannette
