Medellin Silva (Brazil, 1991) is an artist with a systematic investigation in visual art about violence and body. In to your process the subject-matter is the violence with the purpose of constructing the human figure. In this series (entitled: The impression of the violence: incorporations of the body in painting), as a starting point for the paintings, he used photographs of murdered people found on the Internet how visual reference. The artist seeks the construction of the body made with your own expression of violence. The bodies in his painting are worked as if meat, they aer torn, violated, exaggerated in expressions that refer to one of the most repulsive acts of the human being: murder, acts of extreme aggression.
