Artist Comments: "For many years my husband and I attended kite festivals at Long Beach, Washington and other locations. We became personally involved by purchasing and flying our own kites. One of these sets was a group of three flat, 'air matress' type of kites known as Flexifoils. In this painting, I combined another unique phenomenon, a flock of California Pelicans which entered my field of view as the kites made a pass low over the ocean."
