Snowberry clearwing moth, Hemaris diffinis, nectaring on pickerelweed blooms at Elm Fork Nature Preserve. Very difficult to capture shots of, the speedy little moths were swarming all over the pickerelweed, moving between plants even faster than hummingbirds. Never have seen so many at one time. Carrollton, Dallas County, Texas 8-31-14
