In early May of 2008 I spent four days on Houousan (Mt. Houou) in the South Alps of Japan. There are three peaks and the highest, Kanondake, is visible here in the mist. The granite boulders in the foreground are part of Yakushidake, one of the three peaks. This photo was captured on Fujichrome Velvia 50. The scan was framed using Gimp and shrunk with EasyThumbnails.
