Oil on mdf Board, 30 x 24 cm. March 2017. Mostly on-site painting, of mid-morning view just outside Mullion Cove Hotel overlooking the cove. In contrast to the windswept perch which hampered accurate placement of brush strokes and dried off the alkyd oils too rapidly, conditions down at water-level were very calm- verily a "protected" harbour. The tall stone stacks attract flocks of herring gulls and choughs, the birds being painted in later at the studio. Signed lower RHC.
