Antique Spoon Blown Glass Miss me when Im gone

This is one of the first of many pendants in a new series I have been working on using the mixed media of antique spoons, hand blown glass and polyester casting resin hand died with pearl ex pigments. The hand blown glass cabochon is made of borosilicate glass and is made using a torch that runs off oxygen and propane. The color I choose for this piece is green exotic. The colored glass is melted deep into clear glass for an amazing play on the light as well as great depth. The hand blown glass cabochon was annealed for long shelf life. I converted an old vintage serving spoon into the canvas of this pendant. The bail incorporates some of the original casting. The glass cabochon was then permanently set in this antique spoon, partially submerging from hand died polyester casting resin! The misty lavender casting resin has deep luster of sparkles that compliments the glass wonderfully. The pendant was then attached to an 18" sterling silver chain for a beautiful display of mixed media. Overall the pendant measures just under 3 inches long by 1 1/2 wide. The glass cab measures 1 1/8" by 1 1/8" If you are interested in the just the pendant please notify me and I will take $15 off the list price.
