acrylic ink (1) test on canvas [original sold]

"Red apple" is a test painting in acrylic Ink on canvas 5"x7" this is a low resolution image. This ink is highly pigmented and is similar to watercolor paint except is dries and cures to a permanent water resistant color much like acrylic paint does.

Great test. Acrylics are great. I use acrylics all the time. Here's a little tip. I use used film containers and mix my acrylic with Pro Art Acrylic flow improver for that perfect feel. Have fun with this medium.

Artist Reply: Chris, thank you very much for this excellent tip.
Artist Reply: I use flow improver for my glazing technique with acrylic ink from now on. One drop of it in the mix is sufficient for better control. +> Thanks for the tip!

Very good, what kind of acrylic ink is yours? I would nike to try. If you have time, could you tell me ?

Artist Reply: These are test run with "Liquitex" acrylic inks... very intense colors... also one can do calligraphy whit these inks. I am at beginning stage with inks... I will explore this medium during 2012.
Artist Reply: What I have used for this one are "F/W" and "Liquitex" acrylic inks. from what I can see, "Chris Roukema" is having similar results using Pro Art Acrylic flow improver.
