This painting is dedicated to my uncle Jon who passed away this month (February 2015). He is loved by many and will be truly missed.

Truly amazing work. The juxtaposition of the quiet earth to the energized heaven separated by the wafer thin sun light as the sun is extinguished is poignant. The clouds at 45 degrees creates at tension, expressing an energy leaving the earth heavenward. I feel an expression of the ancient concept of anahata, the place where earth meets heaven: the heart chakra. Very fine tribute to Jon, you must have a special connection. Mrs Sussex were these spiritual expressions an artist construct or your innate spirituality manifesting itself? You are an AMAZING talent: sensitive, intuitive and the skillful.
