Magnolias in Violetwood. 11 x 14", Oil on Canvas. This painting was a quick Alla Prima study. I liked the movement and colors. I approach this type of painting by letting the paint find its place. There is thought involved in the process but mostly its the feeling of applying the paint on the brush and letting things happen!
