This American Alligator was sunning on a boat dock in northern Florida. Although he looked very calm, quiet and full of food, his eyes never left mine, and he is big enough to eat me, so I only disturbed his nap for a few shots then slowly backed away and left the Prehistoric beast alone. This is the type of subject that will make any artist sweat.
