The Bull from the Sea (St.Loy)

The Bull from the Sea (St.Loy) is a composition in black woollen yarns, gold leaf on cotton brocade with acrylic gesso and panel. The depiction of Anenome flowers spiralling around the Bull links the classical iconography with the pragmatics of rural life.

STRONG AND BEAUTIFUL...MUSCLE AND AN INTERESTING BACKGROUND...VERY UNIQUE!

Artist Reply: Thank-you for your comments, St.Loy is a place in South West Cornwall where a small stream follows a wooded valley to the sea, in spring there are flower fields close by growing anenomes and the woods are decked with bluebells, this spring I was interested in Greek mythology and it's continuing effects on our lives
