I think the answer is to hit the red button at the top of the page called "post new topic."

there is no red button at the top of the page on my page...maybe it is for paying members only

This is what is necessary on my system : log in first, make sure you have at least 3 images in your Artwanted portfolio, navigate to the poetry thread and click on the blue "new topic" button. You're now ready to wax lyrical. No paid membership is necessary.
