Art Books?

Hello All,

I've always wanted to do some sort of print publication; wanted to get some opinions/thoughts on my latest idea...

I am always getting hit up by these galleries/books to advertise my art and their "entry fees" for this sort of publication is always insane...hundreds of dollars for a single page, or just a couple images. Well of course it occurred to me that this might be a good way not only to make some good extra cash but to share some great art - mine included - with a larger audience...

It's my idea to bring this down to a local level to start, working with artists in the Northwest - maybe even focus on JUST digital artist...

I also want to offer this more as a guerilla/viral marketing tactic...it won't be high gloss high finish but the "entry fee" will be alot more reasonable; will include an online listing as well.

No idea where to start. Where to print it and handle distribution...thinking of sending it out not only to NW art galleries of course but also other independent venues...
