I think this varies with the exhibit.

Do you know any of the other Artists that are exhibiting? If so, just ask them what will be expected of you. Where is the exhibit being held? A gallery, a public building of some kind?

I would just ask if anything is expected of me other than bringing in my art, ready to hang.

If the group show is at a Gallery, they may handle publicity and invitations, refreshments for the opening... whatever.

If this is a show to be held in a public building of some kind, then the Artists will probably be responsible those kinds of things, but if so, I would imagine that responsibilities would be divided and that you would be asked to help where needed.

Just ask.

I'm having a first showing myself, been stressing bout what i should say about my work amd how it comes about. my guess is just be yourself and do what comes natural. if anyone one asks about my work i'm kinda rehearsing what i should say but not sure if it will come out that way, so I let my zen self take over and just say what comes to mind no matter the emotional backing, if you know what i mean.it's a different feeling going from painting in my bedroom to the public. should be interesting to see what happens,I have a differenet situation, tho, i don't have to do an interview, i'm meeting with the people putting on the show and just go from there. you should do fine tho, just keep your cool and it should all work out.
