I was born in Liverpool Christmas day 1958. I spent my formative years on the Wirral. I have always liked to draw and be creative I have tried many different arts and crafts. If I had my life again I would pursue without any shadow of a doubt a career in art of some shape or form. As it is I have no regrets I have a wonderful family my wife Carol and I have three boys Tim 19, Chris 17 and Mike 13. We moved to Norfolk 19years ago with my work. I have worked on and offshore for Shell in the Oil and Gas industry for more years than I care to remember. I love to participate in sport running swimming and cycling. I have run the London Marathon 5 times helping to raise £ 30000+ for charity. Getting back to art. I decided to take the plunge in 2006 and went to college to do AS fine art I am now continuing with A2. I have enjoyed this so much that this summer I built a log cabin art / music studio. My art teacher said I should be selling my work so I now embark on my chosen career as an artist albeit 30 years late. I hope you like my work I feel I am improving with every brush stroke. I am currently working in Acrylic on canvas I also use digital photography and digital image making alongside my painting I welcome any criticism as I am very self critical in pursuit of perfection. I love to view other artists work, as this is always inspirational. As with all art forms painting and image making can and should be viewed on different levels some work warrants a more profound view point than others just like the artists who created it we are all different that is why art is so exciting it is the closest thing to mind reading you can get.
