My name is Leslie Huss, and I am from the foothills of North Carolina. I have always been passionate about art and painting, but I have recently begun producing works more steadily. I am very inspired by nature, and because of this, I love to paint landscapes. My favorite medium to work with is oil, but I also work some with acrylics. I am starting to try out alkyds (faster-drying oil paints). One of my favorite artists really recommends them, so we will see how it goes.
When I am not painting, I am teaching Mathematics at the local community college. Also, I am currently in the process of completing my Master’s in Mathematics. It may seem a little strange that a math/science person is also into the arts, but that is how it has always been for me.
