I'm an independant graphic designer and artist, born in Colombia but raised in Curaçao, a beautiful island in the Caribbean. I love to experiment with different media, exploring and discovering more creative ways of expression, and sometimes keeping traditional rules of painting out of the picture. Designing with colors and textures, my art pieces symbolize the exploration of human emotion, expression, vulnerability, strength, faith or memories.

These emotions are represented in several pieces with scratches, different textures, mixed, layered or dripped color effects that either blend in or creates remarkable paths on the canvas.....just like we do in life. Emphasizing the connection of a multicultural upbringing and elements of graphic design, I like to add the element of collage and the use of mixed materials that add an interesting attitude to the art.

I'm also a fan of Sumi-e bamboo painting, which I have mixed with my own mixed media way of working.
