Carlos Hernandez is a photojournalist based in Caracas,Venezuela. He currently works as freelance photographer for Germany DPA news agency and teaching photojournalism workshops as consultor for newspapers. He had worked as a photographer for the british news agency Reuters in Caracas between 1992 and 1998. Hernandez had the opportunity to cover all major events such as coup (d'etat) attempts,Olimpics, natural disasters, presidentials elections and Chiefs of State Summits. His pictures were published on the front pages of papers as The New York Times,The Washington Post and Los Angeles Times. Also,for ten years, Hernandez worked as photo-editor in a big paper in Caracas,El Universal. Hernandez created a news and documentary image bank named Caribe Focus.
