From the end of the 19th century till the middle of the sixties former century, Congo was a colony of Belgium. It is a fact that there was a lot of mutually travelling between the two countries. Beside cargo, shipping company CMB putted into service special shuttle ships between Antwerp and Matadi. Those vessels transported aswell passengers as cargo. The voyage toke about two weeks. Passengers sometimes felt affective involved with those ships. The image shows one of them, the Congo-boat "Anversville", in the docks of Antwerp in the beginning of the 20th century
