This artwork shows our special place, down by the eagle nest, where the waterfall is. We watched these babies grow from 1-week old chicks to flying teenagers over several months. We saw how the Mom protected them from rain and sun by holding her wings over them, we found out they ate cockatoo for breakfast one Sunday morning, we saw how large their feet are and realized how sharp their eyesight was- we were always spotted a mile off. This wild nature teaches you many things, one being that our children too grow up and learn to fly. These birds are occasionally spotted outside our kitchen window, housing development is reducing their territory.
