This is a picture I saw taken in the 50's, of a large group of people listening to a speaker. I just took a small section of that picture and drew it. Here's the outcome.
Of the many pieces in your gallery, this is the one that most captured my imagination. Is it the stark contrast of black and white? Is it the soulful expressions? I think it is a little of both. The eyes on the person furthest to the left are so alive, I feel he might flick them to gaze upon me with that somber countenance at any moment. Excellent composition and technical use of texture as well. 10!!!

I must comment on this drawing. The proportions, color, shading, layout and the texture really make it special. It's an interesting rendering.geri pratt 31 Mar 2005
Wonderfully stylized. The contrast between the strong light and dark and the midtones is perfect. Holds the composition together very well.Shawna Lynn Ballard 30 Mar 2005

Very good!! You used straight strokes and impressively captured detailed facial features. Keep it up.
