Those who drive along the Corsican coast between Calvi and Ajaccio will come across one of the most spectacular rock phenomena on the island, namely the "Calanques de Piana". The road literally winds through the cliffs that descend to the sea. Through the centuries, wind and rain chiselled the rocks into fantastic shapes and cavities. During the day, the sun changes the colors from golden yellow to pink to fiery red. A feast for amateur photographers, were it not for the fact that there are so few parking spaces. This landscape received a special mention on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Image size: 260 x 360 mm
