This castle in the south of the Black Forest in Germany near the town of Reutlingen is located on a steep rock overlooking the valley of the Echaz. Its construction between 1840 and 1842 is inspired by the novel "Lichtenstein" written in 1826 that describes the old medieval fortress whose ruins are in the immediate vicinity. The castle is described as the fairytale castle of Würtenberg and the name means "shiny stone". Image size: 260 x 360 mm
