The lighting effect in this painting is second to none. The bright yellow mixed with streaks of black transported me right in the middle of this scene on the Nile river bank. I could not stop wondering about that Island at the horizon, wondering about if the fishermen ever stopped to admire the beauty of that moment or were just absorbed by making a living! Another wonderful work by such a sensitive artist with a knack for colors, and dichotomous emotions. Brilliant work.
