I have been experiencing visual and auditory hallucinations since early childhood. Sometimes it's a blessing, sometimes a curse. This was my first attempt to paint while actively hallucinating. I thought that by mapping the experience I might better understand it, and also share it with others more effectively than with words. I was actually pleased with myself that I was able to produce something, thus the happy colors. At the time I didn't recognize how disturbing the image was. I worked this by turning it at all angles, there are creatures to see whichever way you position it. In order for it to truly reflect the psychotic experience, it would be animated, continuously in motion.

Your experience as you describe is a visual sensation that in my opinion brings out the best of your talent and creativeness. Often in life the things we see as a possible burdon to our creativity are the very things that catapult us to the top.
