A Good Day to be a Stegosaurus

An adult Stegosaurus stenops grazing in a field of abundant ferns. This artwork was completed in November/December 2003 with a combination of charcoal and graphite pencil on a 9x12 illustration board. Specifically, the dinosaur and ferns were completed in charcoal and the background in graphite. It appeared in the magazine entitled Prehistoric Times issue 62.

Wo! this one is really cool! I love the scails and all the detail in this too. Very interesting work! Some fantastic shading in these.
