Believe me when I tell you, this is how it really looks. Those of you living near red rocks will know it to be true. The rocks of Prince Edward Island are high in iron, and that is what gives them their reddish rusty colour. When the sun is low over the horizon it is mostly the orange and red wavelengths of light that reach the earth. Combine red light with red rocks and you get this effect. No filter. No colour manipulation. Just a view of the cliff through a telephoto lens. Pretty neat, eh?
