We as adults, must teach our children well to be happy and thankful,to have faith in themselves. We can accomplish through positive THOUGHTS, using positive WORDS and by positive ACTIONS.
Then war will leave the planet.
painting is sold!
I hate this..not your work, which is excellent..but the pain of the child represented here! God have mercy on us to allow it to happen..wow. God forgive us and bless the children!

this is hurting me! excellent expression of pain annette!
Fabulous colors and critical message paired with this bold and powerful painting. I am glad you portrayed her screaming with the suggestion of blood on her wounded face. I worked as a Psychologist at the VA hospital during the Vietnam war and had contact with the physically and psychologically wounded soldiers. They were extremely traumatized by the brutality and senseless killing of their
friends and devoted soldiers. Your message needs a very loud voice to penetrate the minds of those who support the destruction of war that leaves children without a parent and ends the life of young men before they have a chance to live a full life. It is the bold truth that needs to be communicated and as you said through action, not passive rheteroic, we must return to global harmony and hopefully never see another war. Thanks Annette for sharing your critical message at a time when we can elect a President that hopefully will end this
horrific war so our country can once again live in harmony and not fear the future for our children. Fantastic work!!
Oh this is a very emotional and strong painting Annette, is seems we have the same opinion of war, any war short of self defense. Thanks for sharing your feelings...
"War is a stage of players; The innocent will die, the rich will make money and the maniacs will plan extermination of a part of themselves-"humanity". Only the heroes and peace makers follow their conscience when all others fail." (Congratulations on this bold work)
I think that is the problem, there are too many children without parents, some without even a parent. Peace must come through our teaching. Beautiful thought and interesting image.
powerful. It's a war cry and also a cry out in pain. The colors are terrific and unusual and the movement of the brushstrokes really captures the emotions
Positive commentary for an unpeaceful planet. Expressive pose with the right colors to get the point across whether intended or not. The reds symbolzing blood, chaos and destruction, the green the planet , the child representing the future, and how one color is locked in a struggle to overcome the other.
Artist Reply: Your insight vision IS remarkable! Love your amazing true words!
Hope we get now light on this dark side of the world!
THANKS Steven!
I agree... powerful portraiture of a war child my friend.... Prachtig gedaan Annette.
