Great shot, Shannon. I like the way you blured the background to keep it from being too busy.
Artist Reply: Thank you David, for your great compliment! I really appreciate it! I believe the blurring was automatic! There is a spot down by our creek in the mountains where there are purple and sometimes white flowers! All the beautiful butterflies and bees hang out there in the summer time, much to a Photographer's delight! Every time I take a photo of them, the background is blurred out automatically! The thick woods is my backdrop and call it luck or call it what you want... but, I always seem to get a brilliant shot of these magnificent flowers and beautiful butterflies and bees! I believe this flower may have been near our creek! The mountains are a Photographer's dream come true! I am supplied with so many opportunities (hundreds) to take beautiful photos every single day! The photos are never the same, never dull or boring and are just outstanding nature and wildlife photos that a Photographer always dreams for! A Photographer always has something interesting and unique to photograph within the mountains! People think our beaches here are Paradise and they are, but... the mountains are magnificent in the sense that they are mysterious, magical, mystical, beautiful and awe-inspiring! I guess you could say, I have the best of both worlds!
