Colors of The Heart

Colors of The Heart. I found many colors and many broken parts. When I put them together, I found I had a heart. A heart with many colors, with each color a story told. A heart filled with scars, both new and old. Blue stood for the pain, red the blood shed. Amber for the fire, black for the dead. Green stood for the life, yellow the friend that cared. Silver the ray of light, which said hope’s still there. After I read it I heard the heart cry… “As long as there are colors, there’s a chance for life.” At this time I saw the heart shed a tear of crystal clear, All the forlorn colors vanished as Silver did appear. copyright: Lari Acevedo

Lari, what a beautiful painting. I love that it is broken up and able to be put back together. I especially like the discription it is very fitting to the painting.

Artist Reply: Thank you again Michael. I wrote the poem in 1987. I'm working on some illustrations for some of my poems and hope to self publish a book of poetry with a few illustrations too.

Very fine artwork indeed. This artwork indicates a highly creative concept. Would make a wonderful addition to the Art Wanted Artist Group - Heart Art.
