Fan art of silent film acrtess Lilian Gish (1893-1993) who is unique in that she is one of the few stars alive or dead to live to be hundred but also for the fact she starred in motion pictures from the very beginning: When Hollywood was just open farmland and saw its physical tranformation into the metropolis we know today continued starring in movies or television until the late 1980s. She is perhaps best known for starring in the first controversial epic the Birth of the Nation (1915) whatever you think about that film its for you to decide but she successfully surived the dehumanizing Hollywood system that made and destroyed many actors and actresses. Pencils Used: B, 3B, White Charcoal
