Gloria, my dear assistant

© 2006 Armando Salas. --- I painted a lot of fairy tales in the 80's. "Colección TIJERA" (= SCISSORS). The back cover had a "mariquita", a doll to cut with scissors. And in the central pages, clothes. Of course, the book had a chapter of a fairy tale as well. My daughter Gloria (11 years old in 1983) DESIGNED these AMAZING clothes. Every time the publisher paid to me, I REALLY paid her too, as an incentive.----Upper image: Book covers. Bottom image: clothes designed by Gloria and her photo (1983)------------------ Covers: gouache. Pages: pen, indian ink and watercolor.

Love the images of your sister Armando. I am guessing these are recent uses of old images and the top one something you once did of her as a girl. You should get into scrap booking if you already have not :)))))
