Philip Hilton was born and raised in Ohio, and currently resides in Ft Myers, Florida. Having painted since his teen years, he has focused exclusively on watercolor for the past twenty-eight years. His formal education includes a BSS degree from Ohio University, and courses from Cleveland Institute of Art and the universities of Iowa, North Dakota and Kansas. Mr. Hilton is currently a signature member of the Florida Watercolor Society , and has won competitive awards in eight states. He has recently lectured, taught and given demonstrations in watercolor painting and calligraphy under the “Academy” learning enrichment program at Shell Point, Florida, as well as teaching at the Ft Myers Alliance of the Arts, and on cruise ships for various major cruise lines.
