Scottish Wildcat

I have finally finished the wildcat piece! It took alot of time, but I really enjoyed drawing this! This is my contribution to saving the Scottish Wildcat from extinction. The drawing will be on sale and the benefit will be donated to help the wildcats. The Scottish Wildcat is Britain’s rarest mammal and one of the Scotland’s most iconic predators. There are less than 100 Scottish Wildcats left in existence. Steve Piper from the Scottish Wildcat Association states that the year 2013 will decide whether the wildcat lives or dies. Artists and animal lovers all over the world help raise funds with their artwork for a project where the Scottish Wildcat Association (SWA) is planning to create a Haven on a peninsular in Scotland to rebuild the population. This Wildcat Haven is a place where there are no feral cats. It's a place where roads are small and all drive carefully, where development means a new wildlife hide at the edge of a croft. If you are interested in acquainting yourself with the story, here is the Scottish Wildcat Association’s webpage with all the information about wildcats and how to make donations: www.scottishwildcats.co.uk Reference photo: Ben Williams
