Between the inner eye and the outer reality falls the shadow, to paraphrase Eliot. This is a 20 by 16 inch acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. Original Jones Art.

I find Your Talent Flows out with Exuberance in all you do! You captured me! I really like this painting!

Artist Reply: Ah, John, thanks for the glowing comment! I'm sure you are painting a new masterpiece even as I reply. :) Thanks for taking the time.

this is exceptional my friend!

Artist Reply: Ah, thank you my pastel-driven AW friend. :) Wishing you much success in the gallery arena, BTW.

Very nice!

Artist Reply: Thank you, Lydia! Believe it or not, this came about after studying several pics of baby birds. :)

Great creation!

Artist Reply: Thank you, Heloisa! I'm attempting to shake myself up again, if not with subject matter, with technique. Wishing you a creative day. :)

Art Daily had an article on a Danish Modernist who painted in a similar vain back in 1939.

Artist Reply: Stanley, I primed the canvas with dioxazine purple and then an over-coat of yellow oxide. This gave a strong deep rusty red under pinning for the painting. I'm trying to alter the way I do things a little. Thanks! ---Charles
