Second in the Candy-Caned series, this painting might be considered more CJ than the first, though it's probably just a toss-up. This is a 12 by 12 inch acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. Is it Original Jones Art? Direct from the think-tank of Austin, Texas, it IS.

This fertile candy-cane doesn’t seem too happy. Is it her (!) message at a ‘speakers corner’? Or is it the ink she/he is missing to write it down in Some sweet words. Anyway, nice work Charles, thanks for sharing!

Artist Reply: In a land without affect, sweetness is merely the precursor to decay. Ask any dentist, Erik. A lot of things are put on pedestals not of their choosing; Many mouths move without communicating. To cane someone is to punish them. I thought making a Christmas candy into a whipping post might make for light entertainment. Ha. :)
