An autumn forest bright rose with the last of fall. A beautiful lake reflects the tall trees. The chill of winter evident in the deep blue of the sky. The peaceful.lake barley ripples in the stillness. It’s the real of the last days of fall, by a lake peaceful, and calm still full of color, soon to be hidden under a blanket of soft snow. Done from memory of a scene from childhood. Watercolor on thick paper, large 10/14 painted area with 1/2 inch border for matting. Vibrant, but soft featuring only three colors, magenta, cerulean blue , and burnt umber. This piece was done with a wet wash technique, using water to flow the paint, and creat the soft blends and the mixes of color. Original.
