Coughton Court, Warwickshire, England.

My latest painting of the beautiful 16th century Courghton Court. Owned by the Belbroughton family, an influential Catholic family during the reformation. It has priest holes for hiding Catholic Priests. It also played host to Guy Fawkes and his fellow conspirators in the 17th century ( gunpowder plot). All plotted out , still to apply paint to the main tower and foreground.

Surely a FAV and a ood.

Artist Reply: Just a way of doing things. Once plotting, this is the longest process, you can start to fill in the colour. It also allows me to get into the picture and make alterations if something is wrong. If you look at the finished painting, you can see the changes made.
