I developed this series, "Venus Rising," to participate in the event "Venus Rising," organized by NOMA Gallery, Ocala, Fl. which is very significant to me. I am the product of a single Mom. My Mom became a widow at 18; my Dad died in an aviation accident in Miami, Fl. he was a commercial pilot. She had the opportunity to leave me with my grandparents and allow them to raise me, but she decided instead to raise me herself, and here I am, giving credit and praising what important a woman is. I decided to use these colors because they represent and are aligned with the Greek Mith of "Venus Rising" and what women represent.
